About Us
Hi, I'm Rafaela Abeso Nchama, an interior designer and the founder of Interiors Abeso.
My passion for interior design began when I was a teenager living in Spain with my mum. We used to watch Love It or List It, where designer Hilary Farr and estate agent David Visentin transformed homes and changed the way people experienced their living spaces. Watching the programme sparked something in me, a genuine appreciation for design and the difference it can make to everyday life.
When I was sixteen, I moved to Belfast, Northern Ireland, where my journey into design truly began. Before going to university, I spent time studying the foundations of photography, art and colour theory, learning how creativity and emotion come together through design.
In 2021, I moved to London to study Interior Design, graduating in 2024. During my studies, I had the opportunity to work alongside AAID on workplace design projects, as well as contribute to a community project with Youth First.
Since graduating, I've continued to develop my experience through a variety of residential projects. Each one has taught me something new about thoughtful design, balance and creating spaces that feel both beautiful and practical.
Today, every project I take on is rooted in the same passion that first inspired me to create interiors that feel personal, considered and genuinely connected to the people who live in them.
At Interiors Abeso, I believe that good design begins with understanding how a space should make you feel.
Every project starts with a simple question:
How do you want your home to feel?
From there, I work closely with each client to create interiors that are balanced, functional and tailored to the way they live. I value honest materials, carefully considered details and timeless design that brings warmth, character and purpose to every space.
I believe that good design doesn't need to be complicated. It simply needs to be thoughtful.
Because design isn't just about how a space looks, it's about how it makes you feel.
